On May 14, CaoCao Mobility reached strategic cooperation with Shanghai International Automobile City (Group) Co., Ltd. CaoCao Mobility will establish a wholly-owned subsidiary in the core area of Shanghai International Automobile City, providing important support for the subsequent promotion of Robotaxi commercial operations. In 2026, CaoCao Mobility plans to deploy 100 Robotaxis in this area.
CaoCao Mobility will deeply participate in the construction of the intelligent connected vehicle industry in Jiading District, Shanghai, promote the landing and large-scale deployment of Robotaxi business in Shanghai, and expand the operating map of first-tier core cities. At the same time, Shanghai International Automobile City will support CaoCao Mobility to connect with local rich intelligent connected innovation resources, and combine real urban scenarios to jointly promote the accelerated landing and continuous iteration of cutting-edge mobility solutions.
Leveraging the comprehensive advantages of Shanghai International Automobile City in industrial clustering, policy innovation and testing verification, CaoCao Mobility will steadily improve the efficiency of large-scale and commercial Robotaxi operations, providing a demonstrative practice sample for the future construction of urban smart transportation systems.
The Robotaxi transformation of CaoCao Mobility is accelerating. Recently, Eva Cab, China's first purpose-built Robotaxi prototype in which CaoCao Mobility is deeply involved in product definition and R&D, has made its debut at the Beijing Auto Show. According to the plan, the CaoCao Mobility deep customization version of Robotaxi will be officially mass-produced in 2027, with a cumulative deployment of 100,000 vehicles by 2030.
As the most important commercial vehicle for Robotaxi under Geely Holding Group, CaoCao Mobility has built a full-factor closed-loop ecosystem of "intelligent purpose-built vehicles + intelligent driving technology + intelligent operations". Based on ten years of deep cultivation in the shared mobility field, CaoCao Mobility has accumulated massive real travel data, mature dispatch algorithms and a nationwide service network, and has formed a complete asset management system covering vehicle procurement, insurance, maintenance and residual value management, laying a solid foundation for the large-scale commercial landing of Robotaxi.
In 2026, CaoCao Mobility will gradually expand to more domestic cities, continue to expand the scale of the Robotaxi fleet, and plan to explore Robotaxi business in Hong Kong while actively laying out the international market.
