On August 1, CaoCao Inc. (“CaoCao” or the “Company”) formally signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Xiangzhou District, Zhuhai, to jointly advance the development and implementation of Zhuhai’s integrated space-air-ground smart mobility demonstration project.
Under the agreement, the two parties will work together to develop the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area’s first zero-carbon smart mobility benchmark project integrating vehicles, solar power, energy storage, the power grid and low-altitude aviation. Leveraging Xiangzhou District’s advantages in policy support, cultural and tourism resources, and urban application scenarios, CaoCao will draw on its experience in intelligent driving, vehicle operations and smart mobility services to develop use cases tailored to the district, including urban commuting, coastal sightseeing and scenic-area shuttle services. The project will create an integrated future mobility ecosystem that connects ground transportation with low-altitude mobility.
CaoCao’s first batch of autonomous test vehicles will soon begin real-world validation on designated road sections in Xiangzhou District, followed by a phased expansion of the autonomous vehicle fleet. Plans are also underway to develop a Green Intelligent Mobility Hub, an intelligent operations and maintenance facility integrating automated battery swapping, intelligent vehicle inspection and remote dispatching. The hub will support future operations at scale and reserve space for low-altitude aircraft takeoff and landing facilities. End-to-end smart mobility infrastructure will be developed in phases, with integrated ground-air mobility services to be introduced when conditions permit.
CaoCao has been deeply engaged in China’s shared mobility sector for 11 years and has established a mobility service network covering cities across the country. The Company has accumulated extensive practical experience in autonomous vehicle dispatching, driverless fleet operations and maintenance, and compliant operations at scale. As the primary commercialization platform for Geely Holding Group’s RoboX strategy, CaoCao is accelerating the development of autonomous mobility services, including Robotaxis and Robovans, through an integrated model built around intelligent purpose-built vehicles, intelligent driving technologies and intelligent operations.
Looking ahead, CaoCao will continue to deepen cooperation with local governments and industry partners and accelerate the rollout of RoboX-related services and operations in more cities. By advancing the integration of AI technologies with urban transportation systems, the Company aims to create replicable urban models for smart mobility development.
