On the morning of July 4, CaoCao Inc. and Xiamen Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine held a strategic cooperation signing ceremony titled "Compassionate Mobility • Barrier-Free Healthcare Journey". This collaboration signifies the official launch of CaoCao Inc.'s dedicated accessible vehicle service at Xiamen Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine. With objectives to streamline transportation, facilitate medical access, and reduce public burdens, the partnership deeply integrates barrier-free mobility with healthcare scenarios. It comprehensively addresses transportation challenges for people with mobility impairments by establishing a seamless "door-to-hospital" medical passage, injecting new momentum into Xiamen's accessible infrastructure development.
The initiative features China's leading accessible vehicle model, the LEVC TX5, exclusively provided by CaoCao Inc.. This professionally customized vehicle comes equipped with an extendable ramp, wheelchair securing devices, 90-degree rotating seats, tactile Braille panels and a voice-assisted communication system. This configuration enables wheelchair users to access hospital outpatient services directly without transfers, effectively resolving transportation difficulties for wheelchair-bound patients and individuals with mobility limitations. Besides, to facilitate this dedicated vehicle service, Xiamen Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine has implemented multiple adaptive measures, including distributing exclusive transportation coupons to patients and integrating a one-tap CaoCao Inc. hailing function (with barrier-free vehicle option) into the hospital's official mini-program. These initiatives maximize transportation convenience for medical visitors.
Currently, barrier-free transportation services are required by approximately 40% of China's population. Conventional ride-hailing services face limitations in meeting the independent mobility needs of people with disabilities due to homogeneous vehicle configurations and absence of specialized service protocols. As China's premier mobility platform, CaoCao Inc. upholds its CSR vision of "Making the World Feel Loved" by continuously extending barrier-free service coverage and delivering safe, equitable and accessible transportation experiences to growing numbers of mobility-impaired individuals. Since the launch of the "Barrier-Free Public Welfare Day" initiative on June 29, 2024, wheelchair users have enjoyed 50 RMB unconditional coupons for every trip via CaoCao Inc.'s premium "Limao" vehicles on the 29th of each month.
As of now, CaoCao Inc. has deployed over 1,000 accessible vehicles across nearly 20 Chinese cities, completing more than 5 million passenger trips. The service is available through 20+ digital platforms including: CaoCao Inc. official app, WeChat Mini Program and Alipay Mini Program. To address booking challenges for people with mobility disabilities, CaoCao Inc. has established a dedicated "95129" (Care Hotline) for accessible vehicle reservations.
A CaoCao Inc. spokesperson stated: "Our collaboration with Xiamen Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine represents a strategic expansion of barrier-free services into healthcare, bridging the critical 'last mile' in medical accessibility and setting a benchmark for cross-sector 'medical-mobility' partnerships." Guided by its "People-Centric Mobility Service" vision, CaoCao Inc. will focus on mobility-impaired communities' needs as a priority and deepen cross-sector collaborations for barrier-free mobility. These efforts will collectively advance social welfare causes and cultivate an inclusive, caring transportation ecosystem.
