Delivering Love Without Barriers: CaoCao Inc. Lights Up Homebound Seniors’ Lives
Time: 2025/04/29

On April 28, CaoCao Inc. partnered with Guangzhou Big Dipper Social Work Service Center to deliver care packages to isolated seniors like Grandma Li in local communities. CaoCao Inc. launched its “Inclusive Mobility Day” initiative in Liurong Street, Guangzhou, delivering compassionate transportation services to those in need.

72-year-old Grandma Li lives alone while caring for her mentally disabled daughter who requires long-term hospitalization. Her twice-monthly hospital visits to see her daughter are her only emotional comfort. The journey is exhausting for Grandma Li, who has mobility issues, requiring two bus transfers and a long walk totaling over an hour.

On a sunny afternoon, the staff of CaoCao Inc. and social workers visited Grandma Li’s home with essential supplies. With social workers’ assistance, she then experienced the wheelchair-accessible vehicle service of CaoCao Inc. The spacious, comfortable vehicle and courteous driver moved her to repeated thanks. She enjoyed the passing scenery with a contented smile throughout the ride.

Social workers note many isolated elderly in Yuexiu District lack family support due to various circumstances. These seniors struggle with non-negotiable mobility demands, medical visits, social activities and therapy, but they grapple with constrained mobility and scarce care resources. Improving mobility access for this vulnerable group has become an urgent social priority.

CaoCao Inc.’s integrated accessible mobility model offers a solution. This innovative model blends the strengths of street-hailing taxis and ride-hailing. It enables seamless transitions between online bookings and street hailing. It also offers specialized barrier-free vehicles under CaoCao Inc’s Premium Accessible Fleet, significantly expanding travel options for people with mobility challenges. To make this service accessible to more people with mobility impairments, CaoCao Inc. carries out a monthly “Inclusive Mobility Day” initiative on the 29th of each month, offering wheelchair users a flat RMB 50 discount per ride with no usage restrictions.

Against the backdrop of deepening population aging, the challenge of sustaining public welfare initiatives to provide long-term support tests the wisdom of urban governance. As the first mobility company to launch a dedicated accessibility public welfare brand, CaoCao Inc. remains committed to building a comprehensive barrier-free mobility ecosystem encompassing technology, services, and public welfare. Moving forward, CaoCao Inc. will further enhance its barrier-free mobility services, ensuring that more homebound seniors like Grandma Li, who face mobility difficulties, can experience societal warmth and care while enjoying safe, equitable, and accessible mobility.
