On the morning of July 22, under the auspices of the Huli District Disabled Persons' Federation in Xiamen, the launch ceremony for "Accessible Healthcare with Warmth" - a barrier-free medical service initiative for persons with disabilities - was successfully held at Xiamen Huli Jianmin Hospital. Co-organized by CaoCao Inc., Xiamen Huli Jianmin Hospital, and the Xiamen Cross-Strait Integration Platform for People with and without Disabilities, the event witnessed the signing of a tripartite cooperation agreement to establish a "Disability-Friendly Hospital". The initiative features improved accessible pathways, designated barrier-free parking spaces, and tailored medical service solutions, effectively addressing the "last-mile" challenges in healthcare access for mobility-impaired individuals. This milestone event marks substantial progress in Xiamen's innovative "Internet + Healthcare + Barrier-Free Mobility" integrated assistance model.
During the event, ten participants with disabilities personally tested the hospital's upgraded accessibility features, including barrier-free medical corridors, dedicated accessible parking, wheelchair rental services, and sign language interpretation devices. To further enhance service accessibility, Xiamen Huli Jianmin Hospital concurrently implemented complementary measures: distributing special transportation vouchers and integrating a one-tap CaoCao Mobility booking function (including wheelchair-accessible vehicles) into the "Common Assistance Harbor" mini-program for people of all abilities, maximizing transportation convenience for patients with mobility challenges.
According to reports, the accessible vehicles provided by CaoCao Inc. for people with disabilities are LEVC TX5 models, equipped with specialized accessibility features including extendable ramps, tactile Braille panels, and 90-degree rotating seats, enabling wheelchair users to access hospital outpatient services directly without leaving their wheelchairs. "Even with regular taxis, hospital visits used to be quite troublesome. Now with these accessible vehicles, we can go straight to the hospital entrance in our wheelchairs. The drivers are also very warm and caring. We truly hope this service can be widely implemented!" remarked a wheelchair user who experienced the service. Notably, CaoCao Inc.'s accessible medical transportation service has already been integrated into the mini-program of Xiamen Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, earning widespread acclaim from all sectors of society for its superior product features and convenient, efficient service.
In recent years, CaoCao Inc. has actively expanded its barrier-free transportation services, deploying over 1,000 accessible vehicles nationwide that have served more than five million passenger trips. An increasing number of people with mobility impairments have experienced safe, equitable and accessible transportation through CaoCao's platform. On June 29 last year, CaoCao Inc. launched its "Barrier-Free Public Welfare Day" initiative - on the 29th of each month, wheelchair users can enjoy a flat 50 RMB discount per ride when using CaoCao's premium Limao service. Additionally, to address the transportation challenges faced by people with mobility disabilities, CaoCao Inc. has established a dedicated "95129" care hotline for accessible vehicle reservations.
The development of barrier-free environments benefits all members of society and serves as an important measure of urban civilization, requiring concerted efforts and participation from all sectors. A CaoCao Inc. representative stated that the company will use this collaboration as a starting point to deepen cooperation with local hospitals, communities, and disability organizations in Xiamen. While improving the accessible vehicle dispatch network and expanding service coverage, CaoCao Inc. will actively participate in public awareness campaigns and practical initiatives to advance Xiamen's barrier-free environment construction, helping to establish a comprehensive chain of accessible medical services for people with disabilities. "Through these incremental actions, we hope to embed barrier-free transportation into the daily rhythm of Xiamen, enabling all our friends with disabilities to travel freely and access medical care with peace of mind in the warm, inclusive atmosphere of 'Caring Xiamen'."
