CaoCao Inc. (CaoCao; 2643.HK) recently announced that it has entered into a strategic cooperation agreement with Dobot Robotics, a global leader in intelligent robotics R&D and manufacturing. Centered on Robotaxi development, the partnership will focus on expanding the application scenarios and capabilities of robotics technology. Both companies aim to make vehicle operations smarter, improve service capabilities and efficiency, and accelerate the large-scale adoption of Robotaxi services.
As the key commercialization platform for Geely Holding Group’s Robotaxi strategy, CaoCao Inc. has established a Robotaxi development strategy based on three core pillars: “intelligent purpose-built vehicles, intelligent driving technology and intelligent operation”. It is one of the few global mobility platforms with a comprehensive Robotaxi capability set. Dobot Robotics, a global leader in intelligent robotics R&D and manufacturing, has deployed its solutions at scale across fifteen industries, including automotive and 3C electronics. The company will provide the technological foundation for the intelligent upgrade of Robotaxi.
Under the agreement, the collaboration will target Robotaxi operation and maintenance (O&M). The companies will explore innovative robotic applications for tasks including vehicle cleaning, maintenance, and energy replenishment, with the objective of establishing a safe, green, and efficient Robotaxi vehicle O&M system. The partnership also includes plans to co-develop intelligent Robotaxi depots, creating one-stop hub-based operational solutions. The partners will also establish data synergies. By collecting and analyzing multimodal data from specialized “long-tail” scenarios in specific areas, they intend to refine Robotaxi O&M algorithms to improve operational efficiency. The deep integration of robotics will provide significant impetus for scaling Robotaxi operations.
Since 2025, CaoCao Inc. has accelerated the deployment of its Robotaxi initiatives. In February of this year, the company launched the “CaoCao Zhixing” autonomous driving platform and simultaneously commenced Robotaxi pilot operations in Hangzhou and Suzhou. Simultaneously, CaoCao Inc. is also collaborating with Geely and business partners to develop autonomous driving technologies and pre-install purpose-built vehicles with proprietary autonomous driving components and related applications. The company’s second-generation Robotaxi is now in trial operation. Additionally, the industry-first “Green Smart Mobility Hub” is slated for launch in Hangzhou this year, a facility expected to offer a systematic solution for the scaled deployment of Robotaxi.
Concurrently, CaoCao Inc. entered into a partnership with Jiangsu Hongxin, a diversified trading company. The two companies will explore integrating membership benefits between smart mobility and retail consumption scenarios, aiming to create a seamless experience from service access to point of sale.
Throughout the year, CaoCao Inc. has been building a diversified partnership ecosystem centered on its Robotaxi business. These efforts include a partnership with Geespace for satellite communication and high-precision positioning technology, collaboration with Victory Securities on real-world asset (RWA) tokenization, work with Aerofugia to develop a low-altitude mobility network, and an agreement with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO) to locally pilot autonomous and green mobility technologies. The latest agreements with Dobot Robotics and Jiangsu Hongxin represent a further strategic step in building CaoCao Inc.’s future Robotaxi ecosystem.
