On October 16, the 2025 World Intelligent Connected Vehicles Conference (“WICV 2025”) kicked off in Beijing. CaoCao Inc. announced the latest progress of its Robotaxi service at WICV 2025, formally declaring that its Robotaxi fleet has been equipped with Geespace’s Satellite IoT communication technology and terminal products. This milestone makes CaoCao Inc. the world's first mobility platform that applies the low-orbit satellite communication technology to Robotaxi operations at scale.
On the same day, Li Shufu, Chairman of Geely Holding Group, noted that: CaoCao Inc. stands as the key platform for Geely's Robotaxi commercialization, explored the provision of stable and reliable real-time satellite IOT communication services through the Geely Constellation during the operation of the Robotaxi fleet, and continuously enhanced its emergency response capabilities under extreme conditions to improve operational security boundaries.

This press conference highlighted key breakthroughs in the communication technology for CaoCao Inc.'s Robotaxi fleet. Qiang Qi, the CTO of CaoCao Inc., and Ding Sheng, CTO of Geespace, both attended the event and provided their in-depth insights into technological implementation details, strategic significance, and future collaboration directions. By integrating Geespace's satellite IOT communication technology and terminal products, vehicles can still maintain a stable connection with the operation center and report vehicle location and trip status even in areas with unstable or interrupted 4G/5G signals. This significantly improves the safety, redundancy, and operational reliability of autonomous driving in multiple scenarios, including complex city roads, intercity highways, and remote roads.
Qiang Qi, CTO of CaoCao Inc., further explained the value of satellite communication in Robotaxi operations. He stated: “Safety is a prerequisite for the commercialization of autonomous driving and a cornerstone for user trust. The introduction of satellite communication is not only about increasing communication channels but also about building an integrated ‘space (satellite technology) and ground (vehicle intelligence)’ safety system which allows users to experience industry-leading safety when traveling in CaoCao Inc.’s Robotaxi at any time and any place. Introducing the satellite communication technology is a key step in our efforts to achieve this goal."

This collaboration between CaoCao Inc. and Geespace once again demonstrates the internal ecological synergy within Geely Holding Group. Ding Sheng, CTO of Geespace, pointed out: "The future of smart mobility cannot be separated from the support of the ‘space-ground integrated’ information network. The ‘Geely Constellation’ built by Geespace aims to provide essential information infrastructure for intelligent transportation. Currently, ‘Geely Constellation’ has achieved the real-time coverage of 1-2 layers of satellite communication within the latitude range of 60° north to south. We have launched the full-chain cooperation with CaoCao Inc. around the implementation of satellite services and travel scenarios, effectively enhancing the safety guarantee of its Robotaxi operations.”

As the most important commercialization platform of Geely Holding Group's Robotaxi operations, CaoCao Inc. is accelerating the deployment of G2 Robotaxi vehicles and working with Geely and other business partners to develop purposed-built vehicles with pre-installed proprietary autonomous driving components and related applications. Announcing these achievements at WICV 2025 not only demonstrates CaoCao Inc.'s ecological advantages in the field of autonomous driving but also showcases the innovative vitality of Chinese enterprises in the exploration of cutting-edge technologies for intelligent connected vehicles.
