On the eve of May Day this year, three CaoCao Inc. drivers—Yuan Yonghui, Zhang Guirong, and Liu Binjie—were honored as National Model Workers for their outstanding service quality. This recognition made CaoCao Inc. the only online ride-hailing platform in China with three national model worker drivers.
On June 25, these three exemplary drivers stood on the stage at the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX), joining CaoCao Inc.’s executive team to witness the listing ceremony. This marked the first time in HKEX history that ride-hailing drivers invited as honored guests at a company listing ceremony.
Behind these two historic "firsts" lies CaoCao Inc.’s unwavering commitment to valuing and supporting its drivers. In recent years, the company has established a "full-chain" cultivation platform for model workers by strengthening driver training and education, innovating its recognition and awards system, and enhancing mentorship through its "Gold Medal Mentor Drivers" program.
Gong Xin, CEO of CaoCao Inc., said: "Rooted in Hangzhou—a hub of innovation, a city of craftsmanship, and a place of service benchmark—we are dedicated to elevating the CaoCao Inc. brand through safe, professional, warm, and efficient mobility services. In building Hangzhou into a ‘New Paradise’ and delivering premium transportation experiences for the people, we aim to showcase the exceptional spirit of workers in the new era.
“Online + Offline” Training Integrated into Career Development
To comprehensively enhance the overall quality and service level of CaoCao Inc.'s driver team, the company has innovatively launched the "Driver Micro-Class" training system. This program strictly adheres to the core requirements of "beginning with political education," "empowering through professional courses," and "improving efficiency with quality enhancement courses." It deeply integrates "online + offline" and "centralized + decentralized" learning models, embedding education and training throughout drivers' entire career development chain.
Dai Qiwen, Party Secretary and Chairperson of the Trade Union at CaoCao Inc., explained: "The political courses focus on the Party's innovative theories and latest policy interpretations, guiding drivers to deeply understand China's development landscape and industry mission, while enhancing their professional pride, social responsibility, and patriotism. The professional courses aim to improve drivers' safe driving skills, emergency response capabilities, vehicle maintenance knowledge, and compliance awareness, effectively reducing accident rates, violation rates, and complaint rates to strengthen operational safety. The quality courses emphasize professional ethics and conduct, comprehensively improving drivers' service awareness, communication skills, and humanistic qualities to shape the professional, warm, and trustworthy image of 'CaoCao Ambassadors.'"
"These courses can be studied offline at our operation centers, and we also have specially designed learning modules on our APP," demonstrated driver Li Kai, showing his phone to our reporter. "Just tap in and you can learn anytime, anywhere."
Never Missing a Single Shining Moment from Every Driver
Model workers should demonstrate not only professional excellence but also outstanding moral character. As CaoCao Inc.'s driver team continues to expand, we're seeing more and more exceptional drivers emerge. We hope their inspiring stories will motivate more drivers to contribute to building a better society," said a company representative of CaoCao Inc.
Recently, CaoCao Inc. officially launched its "Light-Seeking Initiative" and established the "CaoCao Outstanding Driver Award" to recognize drivers who perform good deeds in their daily life. According to the program, drivers can submit applications through local management contacts if they've performed commendable acts or can provide information about others' good deeds.
The "CaoCao Outstanding Driver Award" criteria fall into two categories: premium service and heroic acts. Premium service includes assisting passengers or pedestrians needing emergency medical attention or voluntarily helping elderly with mobility challenges return home. Heroic acts encompass assisting with roadside fires, helping apprehend thieves, preventing illegal activities, stopping passenger scams, intervening in suicide attempts, or rescuing survivors from accident or fire scenes.
Driver Cai from Taizhou became one of the first recipients of the "CaoCao Outstanding Driver Award." In 2024, he assisted police in apprehending fraudsters, saving a passenger RMB 68,000.
"I'm truly honored to receive this recognition, which both validates and inspires me. I'll continue providing high-quality, safe transportation services to all my passengers," said an elated Mr. Cai when discussing his award.
True to its commitment of never missing a driver's shining moment, CaoCao Inc. has consistently organized diverse recognition programs including the "Red Flag Fleet," "Gold Fleet Leader," "Five-Star Service Star," "Safe Driving Model," and "Heroic Driver Award." In daily operations, union representatives and activists focus on discovering, nurturing, tracking, and publicizing exemplary driver cases through frontline engagement.
Everyone Learns from Role Models, Everyone Strives to Be a Role Model
To further amplify the exemplary impact of model workers, CaoCao Inc. has selected a group of outstanding fleet leaders and star drivers with excellent service ratings, impeccable safety records, strong communication skills, and willingness to share knowledge, appointing them as "Gold Medal Mentor Drivers." Through various methods including online live/recorded experience-sharing sessions, offline "ride-along" mentoring, forming "mentor-apprentice pairs," and regular "mentor salons," these veterans pass down professional skills, service standards, safety principles, and work ethics to accelerate new drivers' growth and preserve valuable experience.
Driver Zhao Mingsong was personally trained by Yuan Yonghui, a national model worker, as his star apprentice.
"It was my first assignment, but the passenger became unreachable," Zhao recalled. When panic set in, his team leader Yuan's message in the group chat - "Stay calm, wait there, I'll handle it" - immediately steadied him. Yuan's quick resolution of the situation made Zhao feel the team's strong support, marking the beginning of their mentor-apprentice relationship.
Under Yuan's generous guidance, Zhao continuously refined his driving skills and service quality, eventually participating in major events like the Hangzhou Asian Games and Asian Para Games. His solid techniques and exceptional service earned him the titles of "Hangzhou's Most Outstanding Driver" and "Binjiang District's Excellent Party Member Driver." Standing at the awards ceremony, Zhao emotionally said: "My mentor always assured me, 'I'll handle the communications.' Today I want to say: Mentor, rest assured, we'll carry forward your legacy, driving steadily ahead!"
For five consecutive years, CaoCao Inc.'s Labor Union has organized the "Caring Rides for Exam-takers" program, providing free priority transportation for over 10,000 students during national exams. Through initiatives like the "Community Care Program" offering free medical transport for seniors and disabled persons, and organizing blood donation activities, the union actively responds to social needs by mobilizing drivers for public welfare, significantly enhancing both their social image and self-worth.
